R4ND4ZZO BIGB4ND Live - Tribute to Vince Guaraldi

This band had a great rendition of Sk8in on XMAS in VA.  I looked deeper into them and found that track came from this album.  More great stuff.  Jazz can't really feel "modern" but it is refreshing.  Its nice hearing these new takes on a soundtrack that is iconic.  It really shines in the solos.  The energy and talent is crazy.

  Prog rock,  super produced.  In the vein of Ghost and TesseracT.  I just imagine a sea of spikey jewelry.  Its always such a shame to me because they are always so musically gifted.  They just use their powers for Hot Topic.  Thinking hard, I feel like music I connect with comes from within.  Music like this comes from outer space, like the artist are searching for something.  A new sound, a grand sound.   Evanescence notes now.  Subjectively not my thing, and 2 discs of it.  Midnight Sun's mandolin is pulling me in.   If this trend continues through two discs my score will increase from the two it is now.  Universal Flame's all male chorus, really?  I'm laughing at you, not with you.  An unexpected ABBA shows up in Silent Militia. TesseracT - War of Being

Recommended by fam.  Its epic and grandiose metal.  Makes me feel like church sometimes.  Their weakest point is the singer.  Reminds me of corny Hot Topic.  It might be the overproduction.  They definitely don;t need the over engineering because the musicality is incredible. Lots of long pieces with lots of transitions between movements like a rock opera. 3/5 Solid
